Description

It is no secret that the Scofield Reference Bible espouses the cause of "The Invisible Church" theory; and, in so doing, it must deemphasize some important Bible facts; and it must misinterpret some of the actual teachings of the Scriptures. For this reason we feel that a sincere word of warning is in order, so that those who feel it important to use this particular edition of the Bible may know just what areas to be cautious about as they peruse the "notes" in this book.

This is not a book on "What is Wrong With The Scofield Bible," because that topic would demand a great deal of research; and anyone who would devote themselves to such a task would face the duty of carefully reading every note in this edition of the Bible and commenting on a great variety of things. This book is, rather, a brief word of warning degisned to alert the believer to whom certain New Testament truths are precious and to keep that believer from falling into some teaching that will warp the real meaning of God's Word to him.

Includes "Universal Church or a Local New Testament Church" article by A. W. Pink.
