Learning American History Through Literature

Grades 1 - 8

Students participate in reading books, doing activities, playing games, researching, and creating timelines which make learning American history fun and memorable. Learning American History Through Literature can be used for:

-Multi-level teaching
-A one or two year course of study
-A stand-alone curriculum or as a resource for any other curriculum

Learning American History Through Literature covers seven periods of American history:

-Colonial
-Revolutionary War
-Westward Expansion
-Civil War
-Industrial Age
-World War Years
-Postwar Years

Each unit includes in-depth book lists, discussion questions, hands-on-activities, games, recipes, and more that will help make history come alive for students.
